An ice sculpture I just finished. The sun and warm winds beat this one apart, and the top has already fallen off, and the sun sublimated the ice to make it opaque. in the background is my melting, toppling rendition of the northern lights.
The theme given to me for this piece was petroleum. Hence the flame/flare. I just don't do realism.

Subconscious protest against the petrol industry, perhaps? Or maybe environmental rebellion against the petrol industry...

And I think you do ummmm--shall we say SHAPES of this nature QUITE realistically. Must be lots of research...:giggle:

Melting and all--this is still DAMNED impressive--wish I could've seen the Northern Lights though...
