Ice scuptures are not something you see often on deviantART, but after seeing this, perhaps it should be.
Ice Knight by =sculptin; brilliantly created, lit and displayed, a great example for all ice sculptures out there! ( Suggested by DailyDeviants and Featured by DuncanMcNicol )

The knight looks awesome, but the free-standing sword is what really caught my eye. It doesn't hurt that green is my favorite color, either. XD

How do you make these things? do you stack ice cubes or something? And how do you make the ice so bubble-less?

It's specially made scultpural ice that comes in big blocks. This ice carving was made with 2 blocks of ice, that I cut and stacked and froze together and then carved.

Wooot finally someone else that enjoys carving frozen H2O!

<can't really say this in english, bare with me k?>

I really love the textures you added to the knight's armor, shield, and sword. I really like the little bumps on the armor, a good idea :).

Good lighting, green light against an evening sky. Love how the helmet shows opacity and transparency.

Awsome job, hope to see more ice sculptures around here.
