A 3ft tall India soapstone sculpture that I carved, then lit on fire by spritzing it with camp fuel and thowing matches.

Okay, THIS I love--I used to do similar things with skulls and hairspray as a kid--don't ask. Great concept--truly "mixed medium", as well as mixed element..The form is lush, the flames are captured really well, the contrast with the deep green foliage works exquisitely, extra points because she looks like she's dancing in fire--that holds a lot of symbolism for me.

(Oh, but fullview is HUGE--you may want to crop it.)

Favorite? Yes, I think so...

Thanks for the suggestion on croppage. will do.
I light a lot of my pieces on fire just for the effect. Sorry but playing with fire is fun.
Like I said, I used to do the same...

This is great, no need for photoshop for improvement but we all have to play with our images. The permanace of stone and the temporary event of flame. Im glad MsJ777 said the rest for me.
FAVORITE!!!!

This, I love. I love the form, almost an eastern flavour, Hindu god thang happening. The whole yin/yang, stone, fire element is wonderful. Awesme stuff.
Thank you Raine. I kind of based the figure on the Tom Robbins story "skinny legs and all" when he goes on about Salome and the dance of the seven veils.
